IT Governance Institute

A U.S.-based resource center for information technology and *corporate governance. Established in 1998 by the *Information Systems Audit and Control Association, the Institute’s Web site states that its main objective is "to assist enterprise leadership in ensuring long-term, sustainable enterprise success and increased stakeholder value by expanding awareness of the need for and benefits of effective IT governance." It also aims to offer "best practice guidance on the management of IT-related risks," and its activities include publications, conferences, and Web-based resources. Web site:
