International Journal of Auditing

A British scholarly auditing journal. Established in 1997 and edited by *Andrew Chambers, the journal is currently published in three issues a year by Blackwell Publishing. (Previous volumes were published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and *Management Audit Ltd.) The journal is available in print and (from 2003) in online formats. Academic in tone, the journal covers a range of auditing topics. The journal’s notes describe its primary aim as follows: To "communicate clearly to an international readership the results of original auditing research conducted in practice and in research institutions. Articles have an international appeal either due to the research topic transcending national frontiers, or due to the clear potential for readers to apply the results, perhaps with adaptation, to their local environments." As its title suggests, the journal’s coverage is global. Web site: www.blackwellpublishing.com
