Organization man or woman

A human character molded by the impersonality of large-scale organizational management, and characterized by conformity, mediocrity, and a mechanistic nature. The term was coined by William H. Whyte in 1956, in a book of the same title, to denote the suppression of individuality and personal morality by the ideologies of modern bureaucratic organizations. Further reading: Whyte (2002)
